Cluster boosts Danish food exports

Food exports to grow by billions of DKK through a new Danish food product partnership, and it all begins at the partnership´s interactive visitor centre.

Now, the Danish Food Cluster has a common display window and a united marketing voice in foreign countries. Through technology and interactivity, a new visitor centre on Axel Torv in Copenhagen combines 200 years of Danish food product history. Undoubtedly, the new centre puts Denmark on the world map as a leading food product nation and creates a united marketing voice for the Danish food cluster in foreign countries. This will help boost food exports, ingredients, machines and technology from the Danish Food Cluster.

Challenge

Danish food businesses are in a strong domestic and international position, but there is a huge potential to increase exports of Danish food products. This requires that we become better at promoting the area and increasing global awareness of the things that make Danish food production special and unique.

If customers can find the Danish solutions that already exist to the many challenges facing the world today, Food Nation has the potential to increase food exports by more than DKK 30 billion and to generate thousands of new Danish workplaces.

Solution

Food Nation receives international delegations seeking information about Danish food solutions, products and collaborations.

Therefore, it is imperative that the partnership has a strong name and visual identity, as well as a modern, impressive visitor centre in the heart of Copenhagen that embraces the stakeholders and Danish tradition.

The new communication tools and techniques can contribute to cementing Denmark’s leading position in innovation, sustainability and effective food production after a more than 200-year-long history.

Physical objects activate the presentation

A huge interactive screen doesn’t “just” show a presentation, it also involves the introductory speaker and the audience in the presentation by swiping facts and movies and by using physical food product elements from the shelves of the visitor centre.

By placing the physical elements on the shelf on the screen, the corresponding part of the presentation is activated with facts and visual elements.

After the joint presentation by the interactive screen, the visitors can explore the visitor centre in smaller groups.

With light touches to the surface of a digital dialogue table, Food Nation can present the best Danish food production cases.
